Designed for versatility, these chests are intended to be showcased: resting flat to reveal intricate side-paneling or standing vertically as a sculptural centerpiece. Crafted from a rigorous selection of English Oak, Black Oak, and Maple, these vessels are a study in high-contrast marquetry. The design honours traditional Egyptian motifs, featuring hand-inlaid Abalone elements and geometric diamond detailing that catches the light with ethereal brilliance. What began as a singular, bespoke commission quickly evolved into a definitive series, and two of my most desirable designs.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the collection Limited Edition?
Yes. Most of the Egypt collection is limited to a set number of editions for that box design. The edition number and year of production can be found on the base of the box.
What materials are used in the series?
This collection is a celebration of natural woods, cork and Abalone shell. The wood species vary with each design but most of the designs comprise of natural sustainably sourced unstained veneers. Specific wood species will be listed for each design in the product description section of the shop.
How are the boxes finished?
These boxes are finished with shellac to give them a rich glassy surface that brings out the beauty of the wood. To find out more click the button below.
How should I look after my box?
