The Secret Garden Collection
Calm floral paintings and faded old labels, lace made of iron and rough wooden tables.
Seeds stored away with the promise it brings, these are a few of my favourite things.
Keeping a Secret
Ever since my first visit to the London Natural History Museum as a child, I have been captivated by botanical illustrations. There is something hauntingly beautiful about the faded palettes and peeling parchment of the archives; they capture the passage of time as much as the specimens themselves.
The metalwork in this collection is a direct echo of the iconic Alfred Waterhouse architecture. I still remember walking over the floor vents as a child, peering down at the dust and history gathered in the ironwork below.
Originally conceived as a bespoke wildflower seed box to keep a friend’s collection dry and organized. This series has grown into a comprehensive range of storage pieces designed for both utility and nostalgia; a collection that honours past memories of discovery & botany.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the collection Limited Edition?
No. The Secret Garden collection will continue to be produced as long as there is a demand. Some designs may not be available due to seasonal variation. If you would like to buy a box that is currently out of print, send me an email and I’ll see what I can do.
What materials are used in the series?
This collection is a celebration of natural wood and botanical print. The body is constructed from solid wood before being printed with botanical illustrations and vintage inspired motifs. Some boxes feature prominent metal clasps and hinges to enhance the bygone aesthetic.
How are the boxes finished?
These boxes are finished with a water-based synthetic varnish, to give them a satisfying matt or satin look, protect the surface, and bring out the details of the print.
How should I look after my box?
In general a soft dry cloth should be used for dusting and a damp soft cloth for wiping down if dirty. These boxes are not finished with shellac but the general care tips are the same. To find out more about cleaning and care for your box, follow the link below.
